Wendy Chen holds an MA in Media, Culture and Communication from the Steinhardt School of Education at New York University. She has worked and researched extensively in the Metro Vancouver and New York City school systems. Through NYU, Wendy has conducted international research in London, Hong Kong, and Beijing, on issues of media education, civic engagement, and global youth culture. As a media literacy specialist, she is involved in youth engagement, public speaking, workshop facilitation, professional development, special projects, curriculum design, consultation and review work. She collaborates with secondary school boards, post-secondary institutions, non-profit organizations, community initiatives, artist-in-residence programs, service agencies, libraries, museums, and educational publishers. Wendy’s research has been presented at international conferences in Vancouver, Osaka, and Madrid.
